Dare to Dream
Happy are those who dream dreams and are ready to pay the price to make them come true.

For almost two years we had practised every Sunday morning from 8.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. to deliver a performance of Mozart's Requiem. The plan was to perform it in Dublin and London during December 2006. However, December was extremely busy, particularly on the home front with Santa arriving for our four young children! Would I really have the time to go to London?
I also felt that this wasn't just about me and my dreams, it was about creating a performance that invites the audience to touch that still' place within us, which is far greater than words can describe. It is a place that Mozart knew all too well, and indeed captured in his heavenly musical creations. As I listened to my heart, I knew that I definitely must go to London, no matter how busy things were.
The performance in St Pancras Church in London was an experience of a lifetime and judging from the feedback it was very well received.
Jenny Brice says in her song, Dare to Dream, on my Dare to Dream album, There's a miracle that happens when you say yes to your dreams'.
While I was in London I thought I would look up some people I knew from an organisation called the Life Foundation. As it happened, they were having their Christmas party and asked me to sing - I was delighted and honoured, and sang, Be Still and, of course, Jingle Bells!
After Christmas I again heard from these people, who invited me to perform in Regents Hall, Oxford St, London, for an event called, Harmonise, being organised by a Buddhist organisation as part of the celebration of Chinese New Year. This event took place on St Patrick's Day to an audience of about four to five hundred. I sang Be Still and Know, and another song called Ignite Your Heart, with one of the people from the Life Foundation.
It was an experience of heaven on earth, and judging from the feedback it was also a wonderful experience for the audience.
So, why am I telling you this? Well, as Sir Issac Newton said, Things at rest tend to stay and rest, things in motion tend to stay in motion', your dreams are your passions, they create joy, fulfilment and excitement in your life.
Yes, they do involve effort. Yes, they involve putting yourself out in front of the world and being your true self. Yes, they involve being very flexible in your schedule. Yes, they involve thinking differently from how you have in the past. Yes, they involve letting go of the need of the approval of others. Yes, they involve facing your fears. Yes, they involve freeing yourself of those fears because you have decided to look that fearful dragon in the eye. Yes, they involve you making a decision to go for it. Yes, they involve you investing time in exploring and nourishing your dreams. Yes, they involve you knowing that in honouring your dreams you are helping many others to honour theirs. Yes, they involve you trusting that the intelligence of the universe can orchestrate it a lot more easily than you can.
Most of all they involve - simply saying yes, to your dreams!
